Technology

We incorporate a variety of technologies into our teaching and learning programs in a meaningful manner. Students regularly use iPads and class sets of computers in learning sequences, to collaboratively research and creatively problem solve. Our state-of-the-art technology is also used to enhance the learning of literacy and numeracy, as well as other areas of the curriculum through our ‘Information Literacy’s lessons. Every class from Years 2 to 6 are scheduled time in the library to develop their ICT skills.

Students are able to develop an understanding of block coding through the use of Dot and Dash robots. These offer students an engaging and hands-on learning experience. Students in Stage 3 are also involved in the Lego Mindstorm program which encourages creative problem solving. Truscott Street was also gifted a 3D printer by the 2018 Year 6 cohort.
