Truscott Street Public School is a welcoming school which provides strong academic, sporting and creative arts programs balanced with an emphasis on student welfare. The school is set in a quiet residential area and features landscaped grounds and gardens.
Within each student we endeavour to instil an enthusiasm for learning, a pride in personal accomplishment and strong self-esteem. The excellent behaviour and the positive attitude of students has been commended publicly by local media of late.
Truscott Street Public School was built in 1958 to cater for children of returned servicemen and women. The school is set in 1.8 acres of pleasant, well maintained grounds in a quiet residential area.
In 2004, we received a state-wide award for having a uniquely cohesive community. Truscott Street students benefit from our meaningful partnership with parents and local businesses.
The school community has developed a highly inclusive culture based on a commitment to equal rights and opportunities for all. We, as a community, believe we share the responsibility for ensuring that our students are well educated, happy and responsible young Australians.
Our continued successes and our caring and happy students, parents and staff illustrate the strengths of the school and community partnerships that exist.
